Elyse Fenton
Elyse Fenton is the author of the poetry collection CLAMOR, which won the 2010
University of Wales Dylan Thomas Prize, Cleveland State University Press First Book Award
and the Texas Institute of Letters‘ Bob Bush Memorial Award. She has published poetry
and nonfiction in The New York Times, Best New Poets, The Massachusetts Review and
Pleiades, and has been featured on NPR’s All Things Considered, BBC Arts and PRI’s The
World. She received a BA from Reed College and an MFA from the University of Oregon
and has worked in the woods, on farms and in schools in the Pacific Northwest, New
Hampshire, Mongolia and Texas. She is happy to have returned recently to Portland,
hopefully for good.
